ABOUT
Nicole Wise is a Connecticut-based artist working primarily with seaglass and other found coastal materials. Her practice began as a daily ritual of walking, collecting, and paying attention — noticing shape and texture of a sliver of glass, color on a sea-tossed porcelain shard, the quiet beauty available when you stop to see it.
Over time, the ritual became a worldview. Observation and contemplation reveal beauty everywhere -- especially in what has been weathered, softened, and shaped by time. Through circular compositions, stacked forms, and the interplay of shadow and translucence, the themes explored here center pm emotional weather: calm, turbulence, joy, and renewal.

After a rich and messy life raising a family, navigating change, writing and then building a career in communications, Nicole now focuses her creative life on collection and curation, arranging fragments and pieces into wholeness — a practice rooted in attention, sustainability, and the transformative power of color and light.
